It is my first time in Romania.I am here to be a volunteer on a project called ,,Shoe Box’’ .My thoughts before i came in here were really different. I know some parts of their history and i can only say some good words about how well they integrated in all kinds of structures about how to make your country a better place to live. My first stop was Bucharest and my first impressions were awesome because all the people that i met there were really helpful. Than i took a train to Craiova. About the trains in Romania i also have a good opinion when i compare them with the trains in my country. The first one i met in Craiova was Chris and he welcomed me with a hands wide opened and a hug. That is the spirit i wanted to see in the people from the hosting organisation(ANTER). After that i met Luiza (my mentor) and we were going together across the streets of Craiova and she gave me all the tips about that how i suppose to behave in this not so big but so clean and friendly city. The next days i met Georgiana and Madalina and Roxanna and i can also feel that they are really good persons and that they give their best in this organisation.

All of these days i was a little bit scared about my project but(my mentor) Luiza broke the bounds with mentoring me and my mates at the best way she can. She is strong, kind and hardworking person. The weather? It’s great - hot and sunny, i love it. About my group? We are already a family. We will be the strongest volunteering team that you can imagine. What can i say more? I already love Romania, romanian people, all the other volunteers that i have met in here and all the people from the hosting organisation. Next five months will be the best chapter of my life’s story for sure.
