My name is Jamshid. I am from Azerbaijan. First of all, I want to tell you about my trip from Baku to Bucharest briefly. It was the most amazing and also the most exhausted traveled that I’ve ever been. My first duration was Tbilisi, I arrived there at 10 pm and I bought a coffee to myself, I got rest and enjoyed my time till the next morning. My plane was delayed that’s why I landed in Romania end of the day. My friend picked me up then he bought me a train ticket to Craiova. When I came here Cristian welcomed me from the train station with smile and I came to the flat that full of energy, and surrounded by warm atmosphere that I will never forget.
Learning culture is my favorite things to do. I enjoy interacting with new people very much. I have dreamed of living abroad since my university years. But it got some years to make a decision to live in abroad again. I was impressed by Romania while I was studying in Izmir. I had a roommate from Bucharest and we shared too much things between us. That’s why I decided to be part of this EVS project in Romania. After I got an invitation from ANTER, I applied for the visa as soon as I can. I was so excited to get chance to make a difference in my life as a voluntary and also to see my friend again.
So far, I have found that people living in the Craiova are very friendly and communicative. What is immediately notable is that everyone is smiling to you, saying “hi,” wishing you to have a good day and asking if you need help (especially in stores and markets). I like being in such a friendly atmosphere very much. In conclusion, I would like to say that it is wonderful to be an international voluntary in a foreign country like Romania. And I am pretty confident that I will do my best to my teammates. I love u all guys!
