I am Tako, from Georgia I am volunteer in Shoe box project.

I want to share my first impression of Romania. We had a long trip from my country and finally we arrived in Bucharest , it was night and we took bus to get to the railway station. Unfortunately we hadn’t chance to see capital yet . We were very tired and hungry and still we had 4 hours by train to get to Craiova. At last we entered the train, and I hoped that I could have a little rest there but this journey was real challenge for me because in our cabin there was no lights and except us there was two other man and I was afraid because of my baggage to be stolen but I wanted to sleep so much that couldn’t control myself and I was sleeping while grasping my baggage. Hopefully one guy was speaking English and he helped us a lot and at last we arrived in Craiova.Firstly I met another volunteers from my project , I am lucky that I will spend 5 month with them. They are very friendly and wonderful people. In the next days I had a lot of time to discover the city. I was walking along the streets, which are already decorated for Christmas and atmosphere is really wonderful here. I like Craiova for it’s beautiful streets and it’s impressive architecture. People here are also very nice, they always try to help you. I found some similaritaies with my country so I feel myself comfortable and safe.I’m looking forward to explore more about this country and of course I want to travel and see other cities in Romania as well.I am Tako, from Georgia I am volunteer in Shoe box project.I want to share my first impression of Romania.
